After landing in Cusco, guests will be picked up at the airport and transferred directly to the Sacred Valley in Urubamba. After settling into the hotel, you will have time to rest and acclimate.

In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner and a short welcome ceremony offered by Q’ero representatives, including a traditional despacho as a cultural greeting to begin our time together.

Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

You will visit the Archaeological Park of Pisac and its typical market for handicrafts and textiles. Afterward, we will pass through the city of Urubamba (where you can have lunch). The tour continues to the town of Ollantaytambo, where you will visit the archaeological complex by the same name. Then, we will take the train connection to Aguas Calientes. Overnight stay.

Pisac Archaeological Park: A stunning Inca site with impressive terracing and ruins, perched above the town, offering spectacular views of the Sacred Valley.
Pisac Market: A lively market where you can shop for traditional handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs, offering a true taste of local culture.
Urubamba: A scenic town in the heart of the Sacred Valley, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by picturesque landscapes.
Ollantaytambo Archaeological Complex: A remarkable Inca fortress and temple site, known for its massive stone terraces and fascinating history as a stronghold during the Inca resistance.
Train to Aguas Calientes: Board the scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes, the gateway town to Machu Picchu, surrounded by lush jungle and stunning views.

You will visit the Archaeological Park of Moray and the Maras Salt Mines.

Chinchero: A picturesque Andean village known for its colonial church, Inca ruins, and vibrant textile market where local artisans weave traditional fabrics.
Salineras de Maras (Maras Salt Mines): A stunning network of ancient salt pans still in use today, where salt is harvested from natural springs.
Moray: A fascinating archaeological site with circular terraces, believed to have been used by the Incas for agricultural experimentation due to its unique microclimates.

Visit to the Machu Picchu Citadel

8:00 AM: Board the bus that will take you to the Sanctuary, where you will witness the impressive architectural grandeur of the Inca Empire and the stunning surrounding landscape.

During the tour, you will visit temples, worship sites, rooms, stairways, and the incredible Intihuatana (the Inca Sun Dial). The guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours.

It is recommended to return to the town of Machu Picchu to have lunch and explore the area. In the evening, board the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a van ride to Cusco.

Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun): The most important Inca temple, dedicated to the sun god Inti, showcasing impressive Inca stonework and gold-plated walls.
Sacsayhuaman: A massive ceremonial complex with giant stone walls, famous for its incredible Inca engineering and panoramic views of Cusco.
Qenqo: A mysterious archaeological site believed to have been used for ritual purposes, with carved rock formations and channels for offerings.
Puca Pucara: A military and administrative site that once served as a control point along the Inca road network.
Tambomachay: An Inca site known for its well-preserved water fountains, believed to have been a place for ritual bathing and water worship.

Inti Raymi Festival

7:00 AM - June 24th: Inti Raymi

Every June 24th, when the sun is at its farthest point from the Earth, the Inti Raymi, or "Festival of the Sun," is celebrated. This ancient Andean religious ceremony honors Inti, the Sun God, and takes place during the winter solstice. Inti Raymi was the most important religious festival during the Inca Empire, and today it is still reenacted in its original form at the Sacsayhuaman archaeological complex. The celebration lasts almost the entire day, starting at 7:30 AM and concluding around 4:00 PM.

Rainbow Mountain Tour

4:30 AM - Rainbow Mountain Tour
The tour begins very early, with hotel pickup at 4:30 AM, and the return to Cusco around 5:30 PM. The tour includes 5 hours of driving and 3 hours of hiking (round trip), reaching an altitude of 5,200 meters above sea level.

Along the way, you will see typical Andean flora and fauna, including llamas and alpacas, as well as snow-capped peaks and breathtaking landscapes. The guide will explain the region’s orography, ecosystem, and the unique colors of the Vinicunca mountain range.
