100% Ceremonial Cacao from Chiapas, Mexico

Cacao has been prepared and shared across Mesoamerica for generations as nourishment, as an offering and as a way of gathering in relationship.

Our cacao is sourced directly from small-scale farmers in Mexico. The beans are peeled and roasted by hand, ground traditionally on a metate and refined in a stone mill. Rocío then prepares each cacao block in small batches, honoring the hands, land and relationships behind it.

Every purchase supports the farmers and cacao keepers with whom we work directly, helping sustain their livelihood and the continuation of traditional cacao knowledge.

Ingredients

100% cacao paste (Theobroma cacao)
Nothing added.

How to Prepare Your Cacao

Finely chop the cacao so it melts evenly.

For one cup, combine:

  • 20–25 grams cacao for a gentle daily cup

  • Up to 36 grams for a fuller ritual serving

  • 6–8 ounces of hot water or your preferred milk

  • Heat until steaming, without boiling. Blend carefully or use a handheld frother until smooth and creamy.

Enjoy it pure, or add cinnamon, cayenne, vanilla, honey or your preferred sweetener. Begin with a smaller serving if ceremonial cacao is new to you, and notice how your body responds.

Storage

Keep tightly wrapped in a cool, dry and dark place. Refrigeration is not required. Natural softening or melting may occur during shipping, particularly in warm weather; this may change the shape but does not diminish the cacao’s quality.

Please Note

Cacao naturally contains theobromine and a small amount of caffeine. If you are pregnant, nursing, sensitive to stimulants, managing a heart condition or taking prescription medication, consult your healthcare professional before consuming larger servings.
